Things kids say!
Jaxon has always been a source of amusement for me. He almost always has something to say that will at he very least make you smile.
Mondays are usually very busy days around here and this week proved to follow that pattern. I had hurried to get lunch ready so John could run Jax to school. Jaxon was sitting at the table messing around and had not finished and it was about time for him to leave. John walked thru and said Jax are you going to finish or what? Are you staying home from Pre-school today???
I was working on John's lunch and Joe was here working on Dee's car so it was hectic. Jaxon got done, washed his hands on the cloth I'd set out for him and then jumped down from the table while saying to his papa...Are you ready old coot?, are we going to go or what?
I start to snicker and John turned and looked at me and said hey that's not funny.
John then refused to help Jax with his shoes...told him he was too old to do that and went out to the truck. I helped Jax and told him he'd better tell papa he was sorry...Jax looked at me and said why, he is and old coot!
WE have no clue where he came up with this phrase but it sure tickled my funny bone and I've called John an Old coot several times now over the past couple of days...each time it says that's not funny Patty!

John and Jaxon having fun
The other day I was walking into the kitchen and came up on Jaxon and John horsing around so I grabbed the camera and captured the scene on film. This kinda thing goes on all the time with the two of them.
Jaxon and John growling at each other!
And More growling!
Now just being plain old silly!
And finally they are done!

Grandkids
Thought you might like a to see these cute pictures of the kiddos!!

Jaxon and Brayden watching tv on a snow day. They don't like each other at all yeah right. They were so cute sitting there I could not keeping from getting this picture.

This is Aubrie sleeping in the chair if she was NOT tired from going swimming with Grandma. She is so stubborn...I think she gathered up all the stubborn there is in the entire family and carries it around in her. She is so funny and only does what she wants to do and has been known to skip a meal just cause she was fighting not eating.

Finally it's the middle of the week!
I have no pictures to share but thought I'd tell you all about our Monday! Monday John went in for his treadmill, it started at 7:45am and at exactly 8:15 the phone rang it said on caller id that it was the Mid America Heart Institute...Now that is not where John was but given his history my brain did not immediately recognize that fact. So picture me throwing( not really) children off my lap and running to the phone, just to have someone one the other end say oh I'm sorry I must have the wrong number. Ok I can breathe again LOL
Then John finally came home said all had gone well and takes off for Grandview to go pick up shower door parts. The phone rings again and this time caller id says KC Cardiology this is Johns doctor...I race to the phone again and the whole time I'm thinking this can't be good, the test isn't complete what is wrong??? They proceed to tell me that everything looks so good that he does NOT have to come in the morning...I must have been just sitting there silent because she says on the other end Mrs. Gregory did you hear me??? AAHHHH yeah so he's fine? She laughs and says well I wouldn't go that far but he's not at any risk of a heart attack right now. LOL
WOW what a relief...We've waited a very long time for a report that good! His ejection fracture was 61%...it has never been that good!!!
Then our day progressed with Aubrie helping grandpa and being so happy! About 6 Dee and I had started down the stairs to check on their progress and as we rounded the stairs we heard and explosion....we both ran. I got to them first and heard John saying don't move baby, don't move. There was glass everywhere...Aubrie(in her sock feet) was standing on the toilet lid and there was glass all around her feet, I grabbed her gave her the once over and handed her to Dee and then began to check on John who was covered in glass. When he picked up the 2nd shower door to hang it it exploded in his hands and crumbled into a million pieces. He had several small cuts on his hands with glass in them which I picked out and it took Dee and I an hour to clean up all the glass...it was clear out into the office area and some was stuck in the walls. Just scary!!! Aubrie by the way didn't have a scratch on her!! When Grandpa asked her if she was ok she said Yeah but Gwampa don't do that again K?
About 8 or so we went to Lowes bought all new doors and came home and put them in. He is now afraid of the other kind....can't say that I blame him either!! I'm so thankful they were not hurt!
